Get Ready With Me for Cotillion!

My tips and tricks for getting ready for a school formal. I had the most amazing time with my friends. Sad it was our last cotillion :( Enjoy!!

  1. Nails- Pretty simple. Just pick a color that goes with your outfit.
  2. Shave legs- here are my tips for getting the SMOOTHEST legs.
    1. Exfoliate your legs before you shave. I just use a sugar body scrub, but you can literally make this at home with brown sugar and honey. This just removes all the dead skin so you can get a cleaner shave.
    2. Shave with a new razor. Again, sharper blade, cleaner shave.
    3. Shave with conditioner. This is an odd one, but my friend told me about this hack and it has really changed the game. I have no idea why, but it makes your legs so soft and smells great.
    4. Put lotion on as soon as your legs are dry and then reapply later.
  3. Get hair done- I always envision what hair style I want with the dress I am wearing and come with an inspiration picture. This has made my blow outs 10000x better and I would really recommend doing this.
  4. Makeup- I did my makeup myself this year, so is what I did.
    1. Primer– this primer is great. I just got it, but it moisturizes, color corrects, and evens out your skin tone.
    2. Tinted Moisturizer– I go for very natural looks, so I love this product because it is very lightweight and makes your skin still look like skin. I just blend this in with a beauty blender.
    3. Concealer– Again, I like more natural concealer because I just use it to conceal my under eye circles and this one is perfect for that. I also blend this in with my beauty blender.
    4. Setting Powder– Set my concealer with powder. To prevent creasing.
    5. Eyes- I did a natural smokey eye. I am not great at eyeshadow, so this look was very simple. Here is the tutorial I followed.
      1. Brushes
      2. Palette
      3. Eyeliner– I really prefer actual eyeliner pencils over the gel or liquid eyeliners. They are much easier to use for beginners and give a more natural look.
    6. Contour– I am also terrible at contour, so I just use this super easy cream counter and blend it out a ton and I think it looks good. To be honest, I can’t really tell if it makes a difference…
    7. Bronzer– This is also my favorite bronzer and I just put it over where I contoured.
    8. Blush– I LOVE this glossier blush. It makes you look like you have a natural blush and is so cute.
    9. Highlight– This highlight has been my go to for over a year and I have hit pan. It is stunning and natural and I just put it on the highpoint of my face: cheek bones, ball of my nose, under my eye brows, and cupids bow.
    10. Eyebrows– Eyebrows make such a difference for me. I am on my third brow pencil from Anastasia and they’re amazing. I then set it with the Anastasia brow gel.
    11. Mascara– This is just the best mascara ever. I curl my eyelashes and then use it and it looks like I’m wearing fake eyelashes.
    12. Setting Spray– I also do not think this really does anything, but it smells good so I do it.
  5. Put on dress and shoes and you’re ready to go!
