Honestly, 2021 felt like it flew by. All in all, though, I would say 2021 was a great year. I am extremely grateful for all the memories and friendships I gained this year, and am excited to see what 2022 has in store for me. Without further ado, here are some of my favorite things from 2021.
- Favorite book: The Kite Runner
- So many people recommended this book to me. I don’t know why it took me so long to read, but it was one of the best books I have ever read. It was such an emotional but beautifully written story. This is a must read.
- Favorite store: Reformation
- If reformation could be my entire closet I would be so happy. I have really loved their pieces this past year and have most definitely given them too much of my money.
- Favorite beauty products: Nars radiant creamy concealer, Bumble & Bumble Prêt-à-powder Post Workout Dry Shampoo Mist, Oribe gold lust nourishing hair oil, and the Dior lip glow
- I started using the nars concealer in high school and recently found my way back to it this year. I know I’m not original on this favorite, but it is just a great, not super heavy concealer.
- The post workout shampoo mist has been a godsend for me this year. I have been trying to wash my hair less (so not every single day), but when I workout I feel gross not washing my hair. This product solves that. Idk how it works, but I just spray it in my sweaty gross hair and I’m good as new. Go get you some.
- This hair oil has also been my holy grail. It keeps my hair so healthy and shiny, and makes my hair dry super well. I think everyone should use a hair oil.
- I have gotten so many people hooked on the Dior lip glow. It is just the most perfect lip product. It has been a forever favorite of mine and will remain one. Such an effortless, easy, and beautiful look. Everyone needs it. You’ll thank me later.
- Favorite jeans: Zara ripped wide leg jeans
- Tik Tok made me buy, but 100% worth it. These jeans are so cute and flattering and I always get so many compliments when I wear them. They were also under $50, so you can’t beat that.
- Favorite Fragrance: Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540
- When I was in Italy helping plan my sister’s wedding, I kept noticing her wedding planner’s perfume. Every time she walked into the room it smelled so good. So I finally asked her at the end of the trip what perfume she wore and then immediately bought it and have been quite obsessed since. It is worth every penny.
- Favorite Influencer: itsmetinx
- Again, basic for this one, but Tinx’s word is God. She gives great advice and I like how authentic she is to herself. Very refreshing and fun person to follow.
- Favorite bag: Angela Roi Cher Tote
- I got this bag for my birthday and I am obsessed. I needed a good stable black purse, but did not want to spend a million dollars on it. I like this one because it goes with everything, but is still unique.
Despite all the craziness, I hope everyone had a great year ❤️
