2019 flew by, yet simultaneously felt like forever. All in all, 2019 was a great year; one filled with lots of change and many highs and lows, but amazing nonetheless. I am grateful for all the good memories 2019 brought me, and excited to see what 2020 has in store. So without further ado, here are some of my favorite things and moments from 2019.
Beauty
- Becca cosmetics concealer– I have been on the hunt for a lightweight, super natural looking concealer, so this product has been a holy grail for me. It blends so well and covers your under eye bags while still making it look like your skin. I love this product and would really recommend it.
- Eye lash curler– I think I am super late to the game with this one, but I didn’t start using an eyelash curler until this past year. It has been a game changer; I only ever wear mascara now when I am going out. On a daily basis I just curl my eyelashes and that’s it.
- D-Bronzi– I have been loving this product lately. Up in Philly I don’t get much sun, so this product makes you look sun kissed in a super natural way. I don’t even use foundation, I just use this.
- Chocolate bronzer– This bronzer smells amazing and it blends super well. But the main reason I love this product is that it’s an amazing eyeshadow. It’s the perfect color to put in your crease.
- Santal 33– I recently got this perfume because I am obsessed with the scent and thought it was very unique, and then I got to Philly and everyone and their mother wears it. But I still love it.
- Silk sleep mask– This has been a must for me in college. With a roommate and bad blinds in my dorm room, I use my sleep mask every single night. I also like how it is silk because it is super soft and gentle on your skin.
- Wand– This wand has the perfect barrel size for beach waves. It is also super easy to use for inexperienced people, like myself. I just roughly curl my hair away from my face and then shake it out, creating beach waves.
- Neutrogena Hydroboost– I use this moisturizer every night and morning and it makes my skin so soft. The thing I love most about it, though, is the price. Great drugstore product.
- Elta Md– I cannot rave about this sunscreen enough. My dermatologist recommended it to me a couple years ago, and I have been using it ever since. It is so lightweight and almost feels like a moisturizer. I’m obsessed.
- L. Erickson Hairbands– I love these hairbands. With sports, it is hard to find hair ties that are secure, yet don’t damage your hair like regular hairbands. These do the job, and they’re cute. What more can you ask for?
Fashion
- Levi’s 501 skinny jeans– These are my all-time favorite jeans. They are so flattering and go with everything.
- Veja sneakers– I have been eyeing these for the longest time, and I just recently got them and am obsessed. They are so cute and go with everything. They were a little painful to break in, but now they are super comfortable.
- Stars- This past year I was obsessed with literally anything with stars. The amount of star shirts I have in my closet is honestly embarrassing, but I can’t help myself!
- Joggers– These are my favorite pants. They are so comfortable, yet are still cute and flattering. I absolutely love these joggers and would really recommend them.
- Natori bra– I absolutely love these bras. My sister told me about them and they are the most comfortable, supportive, and cute bras I have ever worn. They are a bit on the pricier side, but I think they are worth it. Mine have lasted me years.
- Hanky panky underwear– Again, my sister got me on these and they are amazing. I don’t know how they do it, but they made the perfect comfortable, yet sexy thong. I wear these almost every day, and they are the best.
2019 Recap
We will open the book. It’s pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.
